If Pacific Coast Avionics has a GTR205x display that they are willing to
swap in, you'd know if the unit itself has an issue or not ...

There are three separate power wires to the unit so it is very unlikely the
issue is in the connector.  The black wire between the fuse and where it is
spliced to those 3 wires would be the weakest link, I think.
