Description:
Hello, I have a P2004 SN 105 that has a 100 amp fuse on the positive lead =
of the battery ( on a MTA fuse holder attached to the battery box). The fuse=
is not shown in the POH or any other document.Recently this fuse blew, =
which is the first time it has done anything in 1500 hours. It blew 1 or 2=
seconds into cranking.diagnostics did not identify unusual so the fuse was=
replaced with an 80 amp for additional testing. The aircraft was started a=
number of times with no issues on the 80 amp fuse . For a more severe =
test, I also cranked for several seconds with the rails turned off so the =
engine would not start and the fuse was fine.I called a number of places =
including previous tecnam dealers, and nobody knows what to make of this =
fuse. Was this factory installed=3F It is an Italian fuse holder so very =
uncommon here in the states. If installed by tecnam, what is the proper =
fuse=3FWhat are the diagnostic and replacement procedures=3FI can send a =
photo of the fuse block if necessary.RegardsCraig
